If you are interested in converting an RV to veggie oil, you should read the blog Walk Slowly, Live Wildly by Sara Janssen. She and her husband did this and toured the U.S. (with a small child) and I am sure she would respond to any questions you had in the process. Best wishes on your adventures!

If you have the time, walking can be very enjoyable. I get a lot of great thinking done while walking. I just typically tend to be in a big hurry so two wheels get me there faster. I’m glad you are able to walk and enjoy yourself.

Hallo!!

First, congratulations on being carless for so long. . . I agree that, if you shrink your world, your needs will shrink, too. (Or, I guess your wants. And you’ll find other ways to meet your needs.)

The other thing I wanted to ask you about is what podcasts you’re listening to. I’ve started listening to them more, and would love to have more ‘fodder,’ if you care to make another recommendation.

Lastly, I’d be interested in how you and Joy are balancing where you hang out. Does she always drive to your place?

I am about to go car-less myself. After months of to-ing and fro-ing I woke up on Sunday and made the decision. I discovered this site whilst researching people’s experiences of being car-less and I love it. I live in Bristol in the UK and, like you, I am ideally situated in the city to make bike-riding and walking an easy option.
I have enjoyed reading this, thank you very much indeed for posting it.
